People are still bashing TX.
Ugh. Someone just posted that they should build a 300 foot wall around our state. Makes me sick.

1. I completely sympathize.
I'm from Indiana and there was a horrible thread earlier about all Hoosiers being racist and ignorant. WTF is up with people?

Texas is just Mississippi with good roads. But she smiles when she says it.

6. We are all just frustrated right now.
Believe me, I am from Tennessee and we are flagellating ourselves and our own regions right now for the stupidity of our wingnut voters that voted for Shrub again. It doesn't mean anything. Everyone is just pissed off, in general, and saying some things they don't mean.

I'm just sorry that Texas doesn't have a prominent Dem groomed to run in 2008. We need some leadership in the party now and I don't know where it's going to come from.

7. It ain't our fault no more.
It is the American people who voted for him. It was that way in 2000 and it is the same now. Their moral values are going to screw them over. They let fear and hate decide their vote and it is their own damn fault. It is not Texas' fault anymore. And anyone who wants to say that to my face that it is, can come on and try. I am fed up and I am going to let anyone who complains know. YOU VOTED FOR HIM YOU LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT!!!!

16. Would someone please inform the rest of the country that the DNC
did not give Texas ANY money during this election season???! We had to fight this fight all on our own. The DNC put their money, and rightly so, on the few swing states they thought were winnable. So, Texas - no money at all, some red states - pulled out early, some red states - jumped in late, some red states - fought long and hard till the bitter end. Here in Houston, we had Kerry meetups where we had people in standing room only situations, we had visibility events, etc., but no official Kerry campaign! We did what we could!

13. Yet the voters of TX elected him Governor twice
I don't that that most Texans consider him a Connecticutian, or they would not have voted for him as Governor. Many Texans are Texans by choice, not by birth.

very little power. VERY little.

12. Reply For Texas-Bashers
Your da*nyankee media critters did a p***-poor of investigating Gee Dubya's Gubernatorial record before he ran for President in 2000.

Gee Dubya did carry Texas again; he got over 4000000 votes. However, about 2400000 voters went for Kerry. So many of us Texans can rightly argue that not all of us were to blame.
