Obama accuses Texas congressman 'Jim' Hensarling of making up facts

In tense exchange, Obama accuses Texas congressman 'Jim' Hensarling of making up facts

(snip)
Obama said that Hensarling's harsh attacks — and faulty command of facts — were a large part of the reason why Washington politics is so polarized.

"The whole question was structured as a talking point to run a campaign," Obama told the House Republicans.

The president took exception to two "facts" cited by Hensarling: that the federal deficit each month is as large as it was in the year before Obama took office and that the federal debt would triple over the next decade.

"That's factually just not true and you know it's not true," Obama said.

Bonehead Hensarling! I'm sure he is making up "facts". He got his training from Phil Gramm for Christ's sake!

Obama Nose To Nose With GOP Live - FIGHT THE FOX NEWS BLACKOUT

MSNBC right now, Obama did Q&A with the House Republican Caucus, apparently modeled on the British Parliaments "Question Time." He looked them in the eye and tore them a new one. Daniel has walked into the lion's den and emerged with a new lion skin jacket. Boo-yah!

He's dismantling their talking points and pointing out how their dishonest framing is bringing everything to a stop. He just opened a 5 gallon bucket of deconstructionist meta whup-ass!

He pointed out that he came into office with Bush having locked them into $8 B in deficits.

He called them out on their fearmongering, lack of seriousness, playing "gotcha" with any issue.

Obama 1 - GOP lying weenies 0!

1. Transcript at Huffington Post
Some of the Jeb/Jim/John - whatever the hell your name is Texas Republican Congressional idiot:

Obama At House Republican Retreat In Baltimore: FULL VIDEO, TEXT
(snip)
CONGRESSMAN HENSARLING: .... Now, Mr. President, I know you believe -- and I understand the argument, and I respect the view that the spending is necessary due to the recession; many of us believe, frankly, it's part of the problem, not part of the solution. But I understand and I respect your view. But this is what I don't understand, Mr. President. After that discussion, your administration proposed a budget that would triple the national debt over the next 10 years -- surely you don't believe 10 years from now we will still be mired in this recession -- and propose new entitlement spending and move the cost of government to almost 24.5 percent of the economy.

Now, very soon, Mr. President, you're due to submit a new budget. And my question is --

THE PRESIDENT: Jeb, I know there's a question in there somewhere, because you're making a whole bunch of assertions, half of which I disagree with, and I'm having to sit here listening to them. At some point I know you're going to let me answer. All right.

CONGRESSMAN HENSARLING: That's the question. You are soon to submit a new budget, Mr. President. Will that new budget, like your old budget, triple the national debt and continue to take us down the path of increasing the cost of government to almost 25 percent of our economy? That's the question, Mr. President.

THE PRESIDENT: Jeb, with all due respect, I've just got to take this last question as an example of how it's very hard to have the kind of bipartisan work that we're going to do, because the whole question was structured as a talking point for running a campaign.

Now, look, let's talk about the budget once again, because I'll go through it with you line by line. The fact of the matter is, is that when we came into office, the deficit was $1.3 trillion. -- $1.3 So when you say that suddenly I've got a monthly budget that is higher than the -- a monthly deficit that's higher than the annual deficit left by the Republicans, that's factually just not true, and you know it's not true.

6. I would love to see both of them in prison
Just not together. None of those spa retreat kind of jails. They should just be in with the regular prison population.

I'm still hoping that one day their bad karma comes back and bites them. If not jail perhaps some incurable and painful disease. No sympathy for those criminals. :grr:

4. Obama Takes Down Hensarling At GOP Retreat (with video)
Talking Points Memo 1/29/10
Obama Takes Down Hensarling At GOP Retreat

Hensarling claimed that Obama had increased the national deficit by the same rate per month as Republicans had per year.

But Obama (who continually referred to Hensarling as "Jim") wasn't having any of it.

Watch at link above - the video is only a little over 2 minutes. Obama slapped him good!! I would have loved to see Jebbie/Jimmie's face!

8. Our Texas Republican Congressional delegation
Is the worst in Congress. Embarrassing lot of evil doers. Kicking out a few of them would be so sweet.

Where to start? Jeb/Jim is one for sure. Pete Sessions another. Ralph Hall. Lamer Smith. Oh hell they're all worthless!

10. "Louie Ghomert Pyle"
Good one.

 :spray:

Golly! Who can forget Louie, Lou Grouch!

with video from Rachel Maddow's show:
Louie Gohmert-- Oscar The Grouch Pops Out Of His Trash Can 10/9/09
Texas reactionary Louie Gohmert may have learned how to wear shoes and a suit and tie over the years, but the Tyler congressman seems to be overly concerned about protecting the rights of some of his constituents engaged in bestiality, pedophilia, necrophilia and other practices that are apparently more common in northeast Texas than in the rest of the country. Gohmert, whose ProgressivePunch score for the current session is a perfect zero, is one of the Republican Party's spokespersons on virulent homophobia. He and Jason Chaffetz are like a tag team of bigotry. By all means watch the video above. It was Gohmert's dissertation on perversions-- and about why gay men and women in the military defending our country are not entitled to protections, in his warped and narrow mind, anymore than some sheep-fucking bucktoothed Republican near Longview or a teabagger in Lufkin who has a hankerin' for his 8 year old daughter couple times a week.

11. I hate having Jimbo Jeb And Ghomet Pyle as my two closest reps
I live in Jimbo's district but do most of my business in Ghomert Pyle's district. Those two make Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels look like Einstein and Edison. District 1 and District 5 should go on the blue collar comedy tour. I'm sure we amuse the piss out of the rest of the country. I really hate Chuck Hopson these days. I contributed to that turd's campaign and he goes turncoat. I'm going to enjoy voting against all these republican boot lickers in the fall.

Hopson was a spineless Democrat - so he switched sides.

Hang in there!
