Dallas-Fort Worth Democrats want to build on turnout success they had in 2008 primary
Will local Democrats top the record turnout they had in the 2008 primary?

They’re not even going to try.

Tarrant County Democrats already know that they can’t match last year, when they had twice as many voters as the Republican primary.

2010 is not a presidential election year, and while the party has a contested gubernatorial primary, nothing on the ballot is expected to approach the high drama of the historic clash between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

1. Tarrant county is our last urban area to take back
We need a really good effort to turn that blue.

No we don't have an Obama/Clinton primary but come fall - hopefully we'll have a good coordinated effort.

The party in Tarrant County is working hard to turn things blue.

The Star Telegram is full of crap.

The CEC, the County Executive Committee, which includes it's precinct chairs is more organized and active than ever before.
I encourage everyone to get involved in Tarrant County that is not already.
Just because it's uphill, doesn't mean we have given up. WTF?

Precinct chairs need your help. I suggest anyone that they find their precinct chair at the Tarrant County Party website, and contact them to help them...
or if there is a vacancy, consider filling it.

Tarrant County is on the move to blue.

edit: oh yea, and we went from solid red to pink the last election, so there!

3. Are you planning on running someone against Kay Granger?
We're building up a solid effort to unseat Pete Sessions in TX-32 at long last, and I think Jeb Hensarling has just picked up a Democratic challenger as well.

4. As of now no one is running against Granger
She has too much money from big corpos behind her, it is almost impossible to defeat her. Pisses me off, as she is my "rep" and she is useless.

The last two candidates that ran against her did not get much support from the county party.
