Oil Tanker explosion in Plano happening now.
I live in extreme north Dallas south Plano just south of the Bush Turnpike. About 45 mins ago I heard two explosions outside that set off car alarms and made my dog go crazy. About 20 sec later the power went out and I heard a few more thuds. I went outside to see if anything had happened and just noth of my apartment complex there was a huge fire. I walked down to the road where the new Gramercy Park apartments are being built and there was an oil truck on it's side in flames. The lady who called 911 said she thought they must have been going to fast and flipped. Crazy. About 40 firetrucks and police cars are there and a few helicopters circling over head. We are still without power. Thanks to my iPhone I am still able to post. Anyone heard anything official?

2. WFAA
"A late night tanker truck accident has caused an unknown amount of fatalities and is shutting down a major Dallas intersection. News 8 has learned east bound George Bush Turnpike is shut down at the Dallas North Tollway. An official tells us that they are worried about fuel leaking out of the truck. The fire could be threatening a nearby apartment complex. Witnesses described the scene as a huge fireball. Local fire crews and Hazmat teams are on the scene."

3. Wow. That's my apartment complex.
Its was a pretty big fireball and the fire was atleast 30 ft for over an hour. Sad to hear people died.

4. When I hear "oil tanker"
my first thought is "ship," not "truck," so you can imagine what kind of mental picture this gave me....!
