Yes, Gov. Goodhair, Texas has received more money than any state except California. Who's a socialist NOW? :D

2. Funny... also, did he ever state whether Texas will or won't opt-out of HCR if enacted?
I've never heard him comment one way or the other.

3. He's sitting on the fence -but it may not be his fence next year

Some Texas leaders hope healthcare bill will allow for opting out of plan

(snip)
Two key concerns for Texas leaders: This state leads the nation in uninsured residents, and taxpayers here likely would have to help pay for the federal program whether the state participates in it or not.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who opted out of some federal stimulus funds earmarked for unemployment benefits this year, has said he isn’t sure, given a choice, whether he would opt Texas out of any healthcare revamp.

"Until we see more clearly what Washington’s plan is relative to this, sure, our options are open," Perry told reporters this week.

But the choice may not be up to him.

Any decision on what Texas should do regarding the plan would likely fall to the Texas Legislature or whoever wins Texas’ governor’s race next year. That election has drawn several Republicans, including two of the most popular GOP officeholders and a handful of Democrats, including a former U.S. ambassador, a rancher, a comedian and a hair care executive.

Thanks for the stimulus tracker link. It is very useful. $2.5 billion (yes that is a B) in Tarrant county of $7.5B awarded! Holy stimulus package! That rocks! Tarrant better go blue next cycle.

:woohoo:

5. You can get the detail on the same page
From your tracker link. Once you select a county like Tarrant and the amount is hovering above. Scroll down the page and you can see the project that make up the total. 193 projects in Tarrant. The largest being a medical center for 1/2 billion.

#1) Medical Center $500,000,000 3,000 jobs created
#2) MATOC Unrestricted Pool of Contractors IDIQ Southwestern Division US Army Corps of Engineers Estimated Workload Value 370 Million. - $370,000,000

MATOC means Multiple-Award Task Order Contracts. You will see a lot of those listed.
