I got a phone call from him yesterday asking me to vote for the "Republican Team"

This is in addition to weeks of his TV ads praising Pete Sessions (the ones that NEVER SHOW Pete Sessions)

Leave us alone, Rudy!

2. Did you notice Pete Sessions changed his ad?

Before Rudy came along to rescue him, Pete was running an ad bragging about how much he's done for homeland security. The voice over said something like, "When President Bush needed help with Homeland Security, he turned to Pete Sessions...". At the bottom of the screen it listed the bill number H.R. 5118, which I looked up on Thomas, of course.

The bill was written 10 DAYS BEFORE THE AD STARTED RUNNING!!! I immediately emailed everybody I could think of and told them to look up the bill.

Other media watchers must have caught that, too, 'cause the ad only ran for a short time, then Rudy came in. They re-cut the ad with Rudy in the foreground saying how much he likes Pete Sessions (*gag*); there's Pete in the back acting like he's working, but with no reference to the bill or bill number.

I can just imagine Pete's PR person. "So, is there any bill you've written that we could highlight in an ad? No? Hmmm...can you write one this week?"
