Juan Garcia Confirmed/Farewell Reception

Message from the Garcia's:

Juan was confirmed by a unanimous vote of the U.S. Senate Thursday night. He will turnover command of his reserve squadron unit during a "Flight Line Change of Command" at NAS Corpus Christi on Tuesday, and begin his duties as the new Assistant Secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon on October 1. A formal swearing-in ceremony in Washington will follow 30-45 days after that; Details will follow.

For those in South Texas, please join us for a farewell reception aboard the USS LEXINGTON carrier-museum this Wednesday Sept. 23 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM. The event is open to the public, free, and with live music (you know what that means!).
