Democracy Now! 13th Anniversary Tour and Book Launch with Amy Goodman Comes to Austin!

Wednesday, April 29, 6-8 pm
The University of Texas at Austin, UTC 2.102

Award-winning journalist Amy Goodman, host of the daily, grassroots, global, radio/TV news hour Democracy Now!, is on a national speaking tour to mark DN!'s 13th anniversary & launch her third book with journalist David Goodman, Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times.

The event is free to the public. Sponsored by The Texas Observer, the UT Austin Muslim Student Association, and other groups.

Directions: University Teaching Center (UTC 2.102)
1. From Interstate 35, take the Martin Luther King Blvd. Exit.
2. Head west on Martin Luther King Blvd. 4 blocks (1 block past San Jacinto).
3. Take a right on Brazos and then an immediate right into the Brazos Garage.
4. After parking, walk 2 blocks to the intersection of 21st and Speedway.
5. Continue west (left) on 21st Street, past the Perry Castañeda Library, and
enter the UTC building on your left (entrance under overhead walkway).
