How many ###### Texas bashing threads have to get posted before they become automatic locks? :grr: :nuke: :grr:

I'm sick of being treated like dog poo on the shoes of blue-staters who won't do one damn thing to come help us turn Texas blue, but will find the time to bash Texas so they can giggle about it. We get enough of that treatment every day IRL & during elections. I don't think it's too much to expect support and respect from fellow Dems. No other state gets bashed the way Texas does, and that's got to stop.

What you've posted here is exactly what these DU Texas-haters need thrown in their faces, every chance we get. This morning there was a thread supporting GoodHair's secession comments---same old deal, the entire State of Texas (with the possible exception of Austin)is responsible for every stupid thing Dubya ever did, so the state ought to be kicked out of the Union. I posted my usual pointed reply, and it was removed by the Mods (happens to me a lot on Hate Texas threads). It was only later that I determined that the OP was from Wisconsin---the state that burdened this country with Senator Joseph McCarthy. Funny how there aren't any threads at DU dumping on the entire state of Wisconsin on account of ol' Tail Gunner Joe.

Don't roll over and play dead about this shit. If you don't feel like kicking the OP's in their smug keyboards, then alert the moderators, and alert them, and alert them, and alert them. Automatic locking is the very least we ought to expect.

And I totally agree with you dg, where is the help? Those of us fighting all over the state - and I mean all over can't give up. This whole attitude reminds me of the DNC writing off the whole South. That's exactly where you started to lose it big time.

That's one of the reasons I loved Howard Dean - he did not concede the South. And he invested in Texas too. Florida has turned blue and the whole South is getting more purple. But keep this Texas bashing crap up and you could start to lose parts of it again. :(
