DFW DUers: Phone bank volunteers needed at ObamaDallas and for Irving For Obama

I finally got off my lazy butt and started volunteering for Obama last week. I've been calling caucus attendees in Precinct 4643 and recruiting volunteers, and last Friday I went to ObamaDallas and assembled packets for a 4643 canvass. I'm also deputized as a voter registrar.

I have been appointed Phone Bank Coordinator for HD 105 and am charged with rounding up volunteers for a phone banking effort aimed at priority precincts this week. If anyone has time to help, you can either call voters from home or take a shift at ObamaDallas at 1409 S. Lamar in Dallas. Phone bank shifts there are as follows:

Mon-Th: 11am-9:00pm
Friday: 11am – 7:00pm
Saturday: 10am – 7pm
Sunday: 1pm – 7pm

There's also a phone banking event this afternoon (9/14) at 4:30 at African Village Restaurant, 3003 N. Belt Line Rd. in Irving. I won't be there because we have to go to a baby shower, but several others will be there.

they need people to take calls 24/7 as they are a central clearing house for all types of information these folks need.

Depose, good on you. Today I am taking calls for IKE victims until 3:30 or 4, then stopping by Obama HQ on the way home to sign up and at least get a little training ..I am heading for Kentucky on Sat for a week then will be back ready to hit the ground running, phone bank wise.

Now watch, I will get a job offer. :evilgrin:

Yes, you probably will get a job offer - that's the way things always work for me! Where have you been looking?

Sue is coming on October 16th and leaving November 1st - she's already been told she will be doing volunteer activities with me! We need to get together when she's here - we'll keep in touch.
