Are any of you guys going to CO to campaign before the election?

I got this e-mail yesterday:

When Barack accepted the Democratic nomination at the Open Convention in Denver, the excitement was felt all over the country, and we saw that Americans are ready for change.

Nowhere was it more clear than here in the Lone Star State. The incredible energy generated by our Texas Two-Step registration drive on March 4th has only grown since the convention. We're building an organization to harness this energy for change in Texas and keep bringing folks into our grassroots movement -- not just here, but all over this country.

That's why we need your help. As an Obama supporter in Texas, you can make a huge impact by traveling to Colorado to speak with undecided voters about why Barack Obama and Joe Biden will bring the change we need.

Colorado is a crucial battleground state that voted for George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004. This year, we have a real shot to win in Colorado but the race is extremely close and every vote can make the difference.

We are organizing a trip from Texas to Colorado to grow our movement there. Will you take short trip to Colorado for Barack?

Thanks to your incredible work, we've registered tens of thousands of new voters in Texas and brought folks into the process who had felt left behind by the politics of the past.

You've helped build an incredible organization here, and we'll continue to build our movement. But we also have the opportunity to use our organization to make a major impact on this election not only in Texas but in Colorado. I've seen this movement in action, and I know we are a big enough state to do both.

There are less then 8 weeks left and that means Election Day, November 4th, will be here before we know it.

Traveling to Colorado to spread Barack and Joe's message is one of the most important contributions Texans can make this election -- by doing so, we will be directly helping Barack Obama become the next President of the United States.

1. I made a vow a long time ago

all my money & all my efforts stay in Texas. I'm tired of this state being used as the Democratic party's ATM & getting nothing in return. NY is a safely blue state; why don't they ask New Yorkers to go to Colorado? /rant off

but I still want to do what I can in a swing state like CO..

3. New Yorkers are going to PA and OHIO; Illinois probably to Indiana and Missouri

I have received mail about New Mexico car pools too.

I am staying here because I am job hunting, and want to help work for the down ticket.

But either way it is good to be out there, active and feeling as if you are doing something.

If our Texas going to CO and NM swing those states, we have done a good thing. If the New York folks hold PA and swing OH even better.
