Any general comments and any thoughts about the race between Randi Shade and Jennifer Kim?

2. Made in the Shade
My prediction is Randi will win.

I just hope Robin Cravey makes into the runoff in Place 4. I will puke if Cid Galindo (closet republican) makes it. I like Laura too, but Robin has more than put in his dues working for the community.

3. OK I'm puking now
Cid made the runoff. :puke:

We have to all vote for Laura Morrison in the runoff.

4. Was bound to happen
What with so many people running. On the good news, I don't see anyone who voted for Robin Cravey voting for Cid.

5. Message from Robin Cravey
Congratulations and thanks

The voters have spoken, and Cid Galindo and Laura Morrison will now go into a runoff. I congratulate them on their success and wish them both the best. I salute Jennifer Gale, Sam Osemene, and Ken Vasseau for their campaigns.

I'm deeply grateful for all the loyal friends and the many new friends who joined my campaign, and to the citizens who responded so warmly. It's been a blast!

My family and my staff and I will be taking some well-earned rest, but I may have an announcement or two in the coming week.

Thanks.
-Robin

What a classy guy! :applause:

7. He's our neighbor too
Lives right here in PCT 342. Would have made a hell of a city councilman.

8. More from Robin
who is a wise man...

Dear Melissa,

This morning I spoke by telephone with Cid Galindo and Laura Morrison. Both of them were gracious in their praise of my campaign, and I congratulated each of them on their success. I expressed my hope that the two of them would be able to continue running positive campaigns in the runoff.

Cid and Laura each let me know that they will be reaching out to the voters who supported me in the general election, and I understand that. I will not be making any endorsement in the runoff, and I let each of them know that.

I will look forward to working with both Cid and Laura in the future in whatever roles each of us may have in serving Austin.

Thanks.
-Robin

10. Robin Cravey's Sign Recycling message:
The great sign adventure!

The Great Volunteers of Roin Cravey Campaign Past! We summon you again!

In all seriousness, some very important tasks are still in need of attention this week. We could really use your help.

We were proud to be the only campaign in our race to participate in the city's Campaign Recycle pilot program. But that means that in the next couple days ALL of the signs that were distributed during the campaign need to be collected so we can recycle them. Sooooo, we need as many of you to collect as many as you are able so that our "Recycling Volunteers" can get them from you and properly dispose of them.

Most voting locations have removed theirs, but if you see signs up please stop and pull them up. If you gave signs out to friends or neighbors, please collect those and let us know we can pick them up, or get them to Robin and Jane's house.

If you have a yard sign, or several signs that you've collected from people you gave them out to, you have three options:

1) Preferred option! drop them at Jane and Robin's house (front porch is fine) at 2103-A La Casa anytime.

2) Also great - drop them directly at the recycling location, which is Cycled Plastics, 10200 McKalla Place, Suite 100 just north of the intersection at Burnet and Rutland. Click here for a map. They are open M-F, 7 am-4 pm. This might be the best option for folks who live in North Austin.

3) Last resort - email us with your name and address and when we can pick them up

We also need volunteers with trucks/SUVs to help us collect the road signs! Please contact me today and tomorrow and let me know if you are able to help.

Thanks to all of you for your hard work.

We will talk soon!!!!
