Convention Q re: at large delegates
If I put my name in the ring for at large delegate (since my precinct is only getting 1 delegate to state & that is going to a Clinton person), can I still participate in my precinct's delegate election (ie, vote for the delegate)? thanks.

1. You can participate in your precinct's delegate election as long as you voted in your primary.

2. Yes you have to participate in your convention
And that means voting for that lone delegate.

Then you fill out a form to have yourself considered for the at large positions. Ask the people who sign you in at credentialing about those forms. It's a little bio type of thing where you have to tell them briefly why you should be selected. So be prepared with the kind of things you have done to help build the party. List anything from working on campaigns to serving on committees etc. Sell yourself in other words. It's a campaign for those positions and the only thing that committee is going to have is your form and maybe members of that committee know you. If you can find out who the Obama person or persons are on that committee - let them know in advance that you want to be considered.

Good luck!

5. dg this has to be reported to the TDP
You need to file a complaint about your county. And you need to notify the Obama campaign about what is happening. We still have Obama national people in Austin that are working the conventions.

I'm going to pm you with contact info. Make sure you call them tomorrow and let them know what kind of crap is going on in your county.

:grr:

4. If you're a delegate from your precinct, yes,
Now, you should get 1 delegate and 1 alternate. You can vote for your alternate, too. :D
