4. You got to hand it to the TDP - it's smart
They're collecting a wealth of information. Who are you voting for and even your voter ID number? What can't they match that in their voter file?

Maybe it's a screening process so for those of your recent converts to the party - they're going to find out if you voted in prior republican primaries.

Good luck to all of us. I will be so happy if we know anyone who actually wins one of these tickets!

:applause:

5. Are they going to make it fair
& draw 2 to 3 delegates from each SD so all SDs have equal representation or are they just going to give the tix to SA, Austin, DFW, Houston, & maybe the Valley?

Yeah, I toyed with "undecided" but decided, what the heck.

7. You know, I've been thinking...
Most of the seats are reserved for electeds, as a precinct chair technically I am an elected. Maybe I should start answering the phone in case it's Chairman Nabisco!

9. Good luck with that
It would be nice to see an elected official from the average Texan citizen class (i.e. precinct chair).

10. Over 10,000 already registered
According to this blog post on the Texans for Obama:
Over 10,000 people have already registered for the ticket lottery, so if you don't get a ticket, you're invited to join us at our Debate Watching Party at Scholz Garten (two blocks south of the UT campus). We'll have our pre-debate rally starting at 5:00pm, and the general public is invited. And unlike the TDP's debate watch party at the swanky Hyatt Hotel, our event is free and won't cost you $50. Texans for Obama is an all-volunteer grassroots organization, and we don't believe there should be financial hurdles to participate in this historic event. Over 500 people have already RSVP'd for our party, and we look forward to a great event!

Plus I hear there will be a pre-debate rally possibly with Obama in attendance. Stay tuned!
