convention schedule
Some updated info from David Van Os today on Burnt Orange Report, that the statewide candidates will speak earlier on Saturday than previously planned. Radnofsky at 11 a.m. and all others starting at noon for 15 min. each. There was some uproar over the TDP plan to have them speak later in the afternoon when delegates would mostly be gone. Chris Bell is still on Friday night.

If the credentialling booth doesn't open until 10, can we still go to caucuses starting at 9?

4. I believe the only caucus you need the credentials for
is the 3:00pm SD/County caucuses, so you can vote. BUT in 2004, you still had to have them before 1:00pm. Probably so the SD/County leadership will have an accurate count of which delegates are there and were there may be openings for alternates to move up.

10. Depends on the Senate District
My senate district will begin issuing credentials at 9:30 a.m. and close the table at 2:30. We will then issue credential at the door outside of our caucus. We are the largest SD in the state (321 delegates) so if we can do it, so can the others.

The credentials are necessary for voting in SD caucuses and this year might be necessary to gain access to the floor during the convention.

11. Hummmmmm
Our SD in 2004 ran issuing the credentials in a shorter timeframe. Looks like maybe we need to be looking at electing ourselves a couple of brand new SDEC members. Ya think?

3. Do any of us know some of the caucus schedules? I'll start....
11:00am - 1:00pm Oil Patch Democrats (I don't know which meeting room yet)

1:00pm - 3:00pm Wesley Clark Caucus Room 122 (As far as I know this is Clark supporters and I don't expect the General will be there, as I've seen some info floating around the web. General Clark is serving on a science panel at the DailyKos convention in Las Vegas and I read the science panel is on Friday. IF that's correct, he probably won't be getting into Ft.Worth until close to his speech scheduled at 6:00pm.)

Any other info on caucuses taking place before the 3:00pm SD/County caucuses?

I've been haunting the Texas Democratic Party website (including the "new and improved" one) and the Harris County Democratic Party site and couldn't find anything. This is great!
