early voting starts today for Radnofsky * April 3 - 7
Democrats back Radnofsky, but famous name in her way | 09:31 PM CDT on Sunday, April 2, 2006
By GROMER JEFFERS JR. / The Dallas Morning News

Ms. Radnofsky, a 49-year-old Houston lawyer, is the clear choice of the Texas Democratic establishment, with extensive endorsements and help from leading party members. But she's in a peculiar political survival match against a man whom she says many voters confuse with the late song and dance legend.

"It's a test," Ms. Radnofsky said. "Kelly's name has really had a tremendous effect. People think the guy is somebody."

1. I'll be glad when this "can't dance" business is over with
one way or another.

It's wearing on me. I'm not convinced that people voted for Kelley just because of his famous name. Whatever.

Hopefully, Radnofsky wins this runoff and she gets to concentrate fully on issues and what she will accomplish as our senator.

3. I did my civic duty.
I think Gene kelly is somebody alright-a loser. I can't even believe that we are having to do this.

5. Why doesn't Barbara make the obvious comparison?
Like, people voted for George W Bush because he had a famous name, but no political background. And look what we got.

In the words of Dr/ Phil - "How's THAT workin' for ya?"

6. I voted using that toy e-slate thingy
It reminds me of some educational toy that maybe is for a preschooler to use to learn the alphabet.

Like when it tells you to "cast ballot" and you push the button, the screen should light up and music should play for your reward because you got your ABC's right!!

It's just so goofy and you back away from the booth wondering if your vote really was cast correctly. Who knows.

7. I voted
on paper. Surprisingly, the machines were nowhere to be seen. I wonder why?

Anyway, I'm telling everyone I know to (a) vote on paper & (b) vote for Barbara Radnofsky & to spread the word on both!
