The Script: Rick Perry's 30-second television advertisement entitled "Proud of Texas"

"I've never been more proud to call myself a Texan.

In Texas we set the national standard for economic development. We've gained 300,000 new jobs, and lawsuit reform is bringing better healthcare to millions. We've invested 10 billion new dollars in our public schools, while improving standards, accountability and student performance.

Our people are compassionate, our visions bold, our values strong. The best is yet to come. I'm proud of Texas, How about you?"

3. You ought to send it to the Bell and 4n3p campaigns (Bell doesn't have to
be the only voice criticizing Perry's maladministration).

4. I can't take any credit for it
other than marrying a pretty sharp woman. But I'll pass along the compliments to her.

6. These are the 3 killers - literally
1st Toxic and Cancerous Manufacturing Emissions
1st Percentage of Uninsured Children
1st Number of Executions

Dirty coal and mercury emissions from power plants are making everyone sick. Pregnant women and children are the most susceptible and yet we cut off, or cut back insurance coverage for children. Poor children don't get their medicines for asthma and as a result can't concentrate in school. It's a vicious cycle, that has the seal of approval of the compassionate conservative crowd. Hey they only care about fetuses. Once a child is born, they're on their own.

10. Nothing to be proud of in Texas these days...and I am a life long
Texan. Corruption is rampant there now.

11. By George,
all our machine guns are registered. What other state can say THAT!

Being a DEM in Texas is like trying to swim up the Hoover Dam to spawn. You can do it but man it takes so much out of you. You get tired in your body and tired to your soul. As a school Nurse I battle most of those stats on a daily basis. Two and a half months off in the summer are not enough to recover.
