Rain!
We had travel plans for this morning, but we've decided to postpose them. Normally, this would be cause for aggravation, but not today.

It's RAINING IN NORTH TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. While here in South Texas
we've got some drizzle. Enough to get the ground wet and the dogs track mud in the house.

2. We haven't had..
... more than a cumulative inch of rain in the last several months. We were seriously due!

Actually, depending on just where you are in South Texas, I'm watching the radar and the rain is building as we speak! You might just get some yet!

3. Look at San Antonio and south
I'm in SA. It looks like its all moving north of us.

Maybe later today we'll get a good shower.

10. Halloween. That's when it rained last.
We bought tons of candy, then only about 10 kids showed up.

4. The last significant rain I can remember was Halloween
Not a big storm, but I do remember wondering if it would affect the trick-or-treaters. Turned out it stopped by evening and the mosters were out if full force.

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

7. Sheesh, I hope a little rain doesn't keep them home
For one thing, it's tapering off. For another, they're your neighbors; they don't have to travel far. But any wimp who won't go out today, won't go out on a rainy election day.
Good luck to you, and bravo for having a precinct event!:yourock:

9. We had a pretty good turnout, & not all were candidates!
Just enough to fill my small living room, & I got to meet some "core Democrats" that I hadn't met before. I had a nice discussion with one on the phone, then she didn't show up, but we exchanged emails anyway, so there's another one. Everybody seems really energized and ready to work.
