Good, relatively cheap petsitters in the DFW area?

We're going to Europe for two weeks in November, and I need to find a good petsitter for the beasties. I e-mailed All About Pets about their rates, but haven't heard back yet. Any recommendations? Thanks!

1. Didja try Craigslist?

We needed someone to feed our kitties once when we were going away for two weeks, but we couldn't afford a petsitter.

I posted an ad on craigslist, and we connected with a student who was without an apartment and needed a place to crash until he left for Europe in a few weeks.

We met, chatted, I called a couple of references, and then invited him to housesit in exchange for feeding our cats while we were gone.

I love craigslist.

2. When we lived in Lakewood,

We used to use Park Cities Petsitter, and had very good luck with them. They watched Oreo for me several times when I went to visit Al in Canada, and then once or twice after we got married.

You may be out of their area; I'm not sure about their range.

Now that we're out in the boonies, we use a friend who lives locally.
