Where To See Your 2006 Democratic Hopefuls This Weekend
I really like this feature of BOR's:

Chris Bell

Saturday July 16th, 10:00am: Chris will be speaking to the Sharpstown Democratic Club in Houston Saturday, July 16. The meeting begins at 10 AM and Chris will speak at approximately 10:30 AM.

7:00pm: The Potter-Randall Democratic Club is hosting a dinner for Bell in Amarillo. (Way to move, Chris: Houston in the morning, Amarillo at night. That's the reverse of the song, right?) The dinner starts at 7 PM at the Black Cultural Center, 903 North Hayden. State Party Chairmain Charles Soechting is also scheduled to speak. Please RSVP to Democratic HQ at 806-379-9230 or to Tim Hoffman's office at 806-376-8903.

Sunday July 17th, 7:00pm: Come join Chris Bell at the Austin kickoff party for the Campaign for a National Majority! CNM is a national organization dedicated to electing Democrats to state executive offices. The party will be held at Cedar Door, 201 Brazos, Austin, Texas.

John Courage

Saturday July 16th, 8:30am: Northwest Democrats meeting, Luby's, 6200 Bandera, just outside 410, San Antonio.

11:00am: The Yeller Dawg Democrats Brunch at Tres Amigos Restaurant, 1801 S. Capital of Texas Hwy (Loop 360), midway between Barton Creek Square Mall & Bee Caves Rd., Austin

Sunday June 17, 6:00pm: San Antonio Area Progressive Action Coalition meeting, at Congregationalist United Church, 500 Pilgrim at Panda (inside Loop 410) San Antonio.

David Van Os
Saturday, July 16: David will be giving a seminar on Civil Rights and Labor Law in the San Antonion AFL-CIO Union Hall.

Sunday July 17th 1:00: Neighborhood Democrats Friendswood picnic, Stevenson Park, 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Van Os will also speak at the Meyerland (Houston) Democrats meeting on Monday, July 18 at 7 pm at Poblano's Mexican Restaurant, 9865 S. Post Oak, in the Meyer Park shopping center.

Barbara Radnofsky
Barbara will be hosting a book signing event for Austin author P.J. Pierce (Texas WiseWomen Speak) with Houston attorneys Saturday, and traveling for fund-raising events.

The campaign will be represented among Texas Bloggers this weekend, with representatives at a Houston Bloggers lunch on Friday (that would be me, Kuffner, Wythe, WHD and others!) and with Field Director Robert Andrews representing the campaign at an Austin area Bloggers event Sunday.

The Barbara Radnofsky for U.S. Senate 2006 Campaign will be represented by campaign manager Andy Grout at the Fort Bend County Democrats' July 18th meeting, 7:00 p.m., Jane Long Building, 500 Liberty, Richmond. Check www.fbcdp.org for more info.

I'll add to this thread in the comments for more events. Post your local events as well (Metroplex, what's going on up there?)

1. Hey that's a great feature
Heck I didn't even know my candidate was in town this Saturday (Courage) but I can't make that meeting anyway. John will also be in Austin for the Latinos for Texas meetup on Tuesday, which by the way has some great guests.http://www.latinosfortexas.com/

Well they aren't weekend events but you aren't being left out in the cold. We got a damn big state and lots of miles to cover. Keep on working hard.
