We're starting to get to them:
Check out this thread at Isolated Desolation: http://isodes.blogspot.com/2005/05/chron-goes-conservative.html. He linked to John's most excellent post from yesterday.

Seems the Houston Democrats still don't get it. (http://www.houstondemocrats.com/archives/2005/05/we_are_democrat.html#more)

Running a campaign to "Just say NO" to the Republicans isn't going to get it done.

Neither is producing mounds of drivel that implies American's suck (http://www.houstondemocrats.com/archives/2005/05/the_battered_am.html)

Note to Democrats: Positive. Think positive. If you all keep telling me how much America (and by extension, I) sucks, then I'm more likely to pop you in the mouth rather than vote for you. Think about that.

See, I would LOVE to see a return of the Democratic ideals of John F. (but not drunken Edward) Kennedy.

Don't hate me because of my religious beliefs. (http://www.houstondemocrats.com/archives/2005/05/this_and_that.html#more) Try and work with me to use my beliefs, and others, to make America a better place for the poor and middle class.

The problem with Dem's is that they are only 1/4 as clever as they think they are. They mistake book learning with the ability to succeed in the world, and superiority.

News Flash: Most Americans are smarter than the educational elite, we have just been snowballed into believing we are not.

I wonder if this guy has any relationship to our freeper. Maybe we should return the favor.

1. Sure sounds like what David Van Os was telling us
All over Texas. Should have listened then, I guess. Still can, though.

2. There's about four or five of these insipid fellows
and they all have the same drivel on their respective blogs: "Chronicle bad", "Danger Train", "DeLay good", "Democrats dumb".

Look at this post about the homeless being banned from the libraries:

http://www.bloghouston.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1139

Read all the comments, and note how they shirked away, compassionate conservatism trailing behind them like bad gas, when I responded.

3. He just doesnt get it.
There is always a two prong attack.

First we have to convince people there is a problem. This is pretty hard to do when they are brainwashed or have "Battered American Syndrome". Unless they understand there is a problem, they will not seek a solution.

Then you have those with the solution. Candidates who can stand up and say "It can be better". and be good at it.
