3. I would rather be in Texas
any day of the week, fighting GOP scum than argueing up here in the rain with self righteous Democrats and Greenocrats who maintain that they won't vote for Kerry because of this vote or that vote that he's not liberal enough to get their vote!

Bobby Burns, that wonderful old Scot, put it just right (applies to Texas too - hill country):

My heart's in the highlands,
Chasing the deer;
My heart's in the highlands,
My heart is not here.

My heart's in the highlands,
Followin' the Roe;
My heart's in the highlands
Wherever I go.

4. Sorry
Sorry about the kidney stones and you not getting the job. Sorry about the morphine drip, too. It would be better if you had been getting smashed celebrating getting the job. We need all the fighters we can get to rescue the state from the WingNuts, so I am sorriest of all that you won't be here.

5. But I'm coming.
Neither Hell nor high water will keep me from coming home -
well, maybe high water will for a while. Our place in Llano county is surrounded by high water crossings.

But my family has been fighting GOP scum in Texas for longer than I can remember. My daddy even had Congressman George HW Bush's private parking spot taken away from him once. :kick:

6. uh, ya mean low water crossings
Edited on Sun May-23-04 09:39 PM by pop goes the weasel
High water crossings would be pretty safe usually, because they'd have a decent bridge over them instead of a yellow and black dip stick off on the side of the road so you can see how deep the water is you're drowning in.

Heh. I'm loving your daddy's style. I hope you keep up the good work once you get back to the promised land.
