9. I was a bit of a clown in high school
Well ... more than a bit.

I deliberately picked the most outrageous tux I could find.

The next year, I wore purple.

4. I wanna go to Scarborough Faire!
I've been wanting to go for years now, and for one reason or another, keep missing it. And it's pissing me off!

Can't spend too much $ though. I have a big trip coming up in June.

Ooh! Colin Boyd at Earthfest! HAven't seen that boy in years. I used to be on his mailing list.

11. Oh he's a geek alright.
Only his geekiness doesn't extend into the Creative Anachronism stuff.

Just goofy comic book, LOTR, and Star Trek action figures. You know...the REALLY dorky stuff.

I did find him a REALLY cute monk outfit when I thought we were going to the Renn festival in Magnolia last year. We wimped out and I never bought it. Maybe I can talk him into it this year, and make ever-loving fools of ourselves!

13. Wow Crispini, just wow. You've put it together so well.
Personal faves would be EarthFest, and Denton along with Main Street, Fort Worth. We'll be attending them all so let's just let whoever can come connect, give times attending and slap on a DU sticker, put up a sign, wear a t-shirt, and be sure to have your handle at DU on yourself, prominently displayed so that any other DU'er attending said fest is able to find you and know who you are.

Just me, up way too late. We DU'ers in the "greater Dallas" area need to get together more often, just IMHO.

it was from the MoonladyNews email list. They're good at keeping me informed.

I'd be up for EarthFest, and it looks like there's some interest upthread in Scarborough Faire?

15. Definitely going to Scarborough Faire; already have my tickets
but not sure when; my hubby is supposed to be here in about 10 days or so, and we will go while he is here, prob on a Sunday so our daughter can go with us too and her friend. I got 4 deeply discounted tickets via my employers.

You can rent a costume at the Faire if you like; my daughter has a costume which she wears every year. It is lots of fun if you have never been you should go.

16. ALSO: Botanic Gardens Concerts in the Park in Fort Worth:
these are tons of fun. Big concert series begins in May & continues through July 4 weekend with fireworks after every concert. The schedule should be available around end of April. Lawn seating and table reservations are available. Bring your own picnic or buy nice(moderately priced) sandwiches catered by Central Market. Wine etc is OK.

I usually haul my nice canvas lawn chair that stores in a bag, a bottle or two of water, and buy food there but people haul in huge rolling coolers full of everything

A couple of times my Sunday School class did this as an outing and we all had food that we passed around and shared. We just had some folks go early and stake out a good spot, took along some balloons to signal the group and had a great time.

There will be classical, bluegrass, Brave Combo (usually), movie theme, patriotic, and other variety type shows. They always do a concert with the 1812 Overture as the last item, with fireworks during the cannon part; always do some sort of laser light show. Always do traditional 4th of July music .

18. Excuse the mental wandering...
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
For once she was a true love of mine

Have her make me a cambric shirt
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Without no seam nor fine needle work
And then she'll be a true love of mine

Tell her to weave it in a sycamore wood lane
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
And gather it all with a basket of flowers
And then she'll be a true love of mine

Have her wash it in yonder dry well
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
where water ne'er sprung nor drop of rain fell
And then she'll be a true love of mine

Have her find me an acre of land
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Between the sea foam and over the sand
And then she'll be a true love of mine

Plow the land with the horn of a lamb
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Then sow some seeds from north of the dam
And then she'll be a true love of mine

Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
And gather it all in a bunch of heather
And then she'll be a true love of mine

If she tells me she can't, I'll reply
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Let me know that at least she will try
And then she'll be a true love of mine

Love imposes impossible tasks
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Though not more than any heart asks
And I must know she's a true love of mine

Dear, when thou has finished thy task
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Come to me, my hand for to ask
For thou then art a true love of mine
