Joe Trippi to be on Team Bell!
According to Kuff (http://www.offthekuff.com/mt/archives/005261.html), the Quorum Report (subscriber only service) is reporting that Joe Trippi has joined Chris Bell's campaign. What great news!

1. Hey, WHD! How are you?
I guess Chris Bell is the go-to guy. I do believe I've voted for him, or wanted to. But being on the cusp of Houston politics, I can only vote for state politicians. I live a block away from Houston 'proper', but couldn't vote for a mayor. But we CAN have fireworks here, lucky us.

3. I just got confirmation on this!
It's a fact! Heard from someone who was at Democracy for Houston, at which Chris Bell spoke last night.

4. Wow. Now THAT's exciting.
The gov race is going to be EXTREMELY entertaining next year.

Last night at DFA we heard from a couple of school board candidiates who say that there are a LOT of people involved with their schools who are PO'ed about HB2 and HB3. And they pointed out the immediate political connection -- they were passed mostly because Gov. Goodhair wanted some "accomplishment" to run against KBH with. These candidates really seemed to think there would be a citizen backlash against Perry and anyone who had voted for these bills.

One of the guys told us about getting email from one of his R friends with the text of the speech Lon Burnam gave against the bills and the REPUBLICAN friend said, "Sure wish my rep had done something like this."
