You can buy BIODIESEL in Ft. Worth!
Via email:

So, about biodiesel: I've used biodiesel for four
years in my own Dodge diesel trucks. My son traveled
two summers with the Vans Warped Tour, burning
biodiesel in an old 1987 International school bus.
That odyssey alone logged over 65,000 miles. I've
been in love with biodiesel since the moment I heard
about it...(on NPR, of course)..., and have been
dedicated to promoting its use ever since.

Enough of the testimonials for now - here's the short
list of truly great things about biodiesel:

(1) BIODIESEL is made from fats, usually virgin
vegetable oils, used fryer grease, animal fats, or
even trap grease. It is a non-toxic, biodegradable,
domestically produced renewable fuel.

(2) BIODIESEL can be blended with petroleum diesel,
or used by itself in any diesel engine, without
alteration to the engine - just "pour and go".

(3) BIODIESEL is clean-burning and improves air
quality. A "B20" blend of 20% biodiesel with 80%
petroleum diesel will reduce toxic emissions by an
average of 66%! The bigger percentage of biodiesel we
use, the cleaner the air.

(4) BIODIESEL is very lubricating, and will clean out
fuel systems to extend engine life.

(5) BIODIESEL production supports American farmers,
and contributes to the U.S. economy, while decreasing
our dependence on foreign oil.

In short, biodiesel is beautiful stuff, and just makes
sense.

I'm proud to announce that biodiesel is now available
at 2561 E. Long Avenue in Fort Worth. Biodiesel in a
B20 blend is available at our self-serve pump. B100
(100%) biodiesel is available BYOC ("Bring Your Own
Container"), and requires an attendent (so phone ahead
for B100).

DFW Biodiesel is open 7 days a week, 7:00 a.m. to
11:30 p.m. For more information, visit our website at
www.dfwbiodiesel.com, or call 817-875-5147, or
940-300-5345.

Spread the word, and we can all breathe easier, using
BIODIESEL!

Thanks!

2. How cool is that? Anyone know how the price compares to regular diesel?
My husband's place of business runs a couple of diesel trucks, and he just bought another for his personal use. I'll check the website, but I just wondered if someone might know off the top of their head.

4. It varies
It depends on if it's B20 to B100. B100 is more expensive than B20, but even if he's spending a little more, he'd being doing more for the environment.

3. Thanks for the info
I'm planning on buying a VW TDI within the year, so it's great news that there's a biodiesel station just over in Ft Worth.
