KXEB bumper stickers - update
Just called their offices a little while ago. They still don't have any bumper stickers yet to promote the station's new format.

I've been holding off on the "bootleg" designs ginbarn and I came up with, but it looks like I'll be pulling them off the back burner and maybe printing up a batch - at least until KXEB catches up.

Will let you know of any further developments as they come around.

1. A Solution to the Bumper Sticker Problem
Edited on Wed Apr-06-05 02:16 AM by BrightKnight
I fear that armature grassroots bumper stickers will send the wrong message about the station. Improperly marketing the station would do more harm than good. The station and AAR should at least be providing basic marketing materials. Perhaps they are waiting for a stronger signal.

I think that I might have an interim solution to the problem. Simply purchase on of the official AAR bumper stickers. Crate another Bumper sticker with the text: “KXEB 910 AM” in simple blue letters. Post the “KXEB 910 AM” bumper sticker to the right of the official sticker.

This way AAR marketing remains in control of the message. We need to work with these people and not against them.

2. Not a bad idea - here's a recap
I designed a Randi Rhodes sticker, and ginbarn designed an Al Franken sticker. This was shortly before KXEB started broadcasting AAR on March 21.

Only two Randi stickers were printed as a prototype. One's on the family car; the other was auctioned at the KXEB/AAR welcome party on the 21st. Nancy Cunningham of the Dallas AAR Meetup also designed some stickers for KXEB/AAR and auctioned them at the party as well. All profits from the auction went to the Dallas Peace Center.

After feedback from DU members, I tinkered with redesigning my Randi sticker. Tim Allan Walker sent me new headshots for use on the sticker, so someone at AAR knows I'm at least getting my feet wet here and doesn't seem to mind. ginbarn's design is ready to go.

But I gotta say - your idea is simple and brilliant at the same time. Let me give it some thought.

3. Air America KXEB bumper stickers
NOTE * DUers these haven been on our site for a couple for a couple of days and have proved to be popular - also note that 100% goes to support our little groups. We'd love to have you involved ! Thanks Nancy

BIG NEWS !!!
Please go to this site and get your Air America Radio ~ KXEB Dallas bumper stickers today for a small donation!
http://snipurl.com/dwlb

I was given a little money as a donation for the Air America Meetup group with the request that we use the money to get a little publicity for the group and for the new station. I spent it on getting these bumper stickers printed. They are in a limited release and are true collector items!

All proceeds (after expenses) go to the AAR Meetup and Yahoo group to create a small operating fund for our meetings and projects.

These are not meant to be polished, corporate advertising agency type stuff- these are meant to fill the gap until KXEB comes out with its own promotional materials. These are only meant to provide us with a fun way to promote the station. The designs were contributed by various fans that have been designing and printing their own homemade stickers.

I’m interested in other styles and designs- please send me your ideas and make sure that the images are copyright free. We can promote the station but we don’t have permission to use their copyrighted material. (Such as; the AAR blue America)

Note * there was a concern that one of the stickers feature the phrase “ don’t want to be an American idiot “ that is not meant as a derogatory remarks that is a reference to the Grammy award winning band, Green Days’ recent hit album and song (anti -bush admin) entitled American Idiot . This is a very popular rock/punk band and the sticker was designed by 2 of our members that are 20 something…so again, if you don’t like it – don’t buy -it is just for fun.
Lyrics….from the song :

Don't wanna be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information nation of hysteria.
It's going out to idiot America.

That’s goes for all of them if you find a style you like, buy it – if you don’t like them don’t buy them.
Support AAR Dallas Meetup/Yahoo -buy one today for your car, your cubicle, your bike or even your bosses’ car……. Ha!

Buy one today and support our group ! They will go very quickly as some have been pre-sold !

Please email me with any questions ….Nancy
