June Bugs in March?
Edited on Wed Mar-23-05 10:20 PM by babylonsister
They've been all over! Thankfully, they are slow and don't bite. What are they good for?

Edit to add: Maybe June Bugs swarm elsewhere, so I'll plant this in the Gardening Forum

2. They don't bite and move slowly, but they still creep me out
When I was little I had a nightmare of thousands of june bugs in my bed swarming on me and I couldn't get out. When I woke up I found one of the little buggers in my bed. I still shiver thinking about it.

3. They may not bite, but they can still do some damage!!!
I was at a college football game one night in early September, and the june bugs were still out. One of the cheerleaders was doing his thang, and I was watching him. He was pretty close to where I was, so I could see a june bug flying right at his head, and that sucker went into his ear!!!

He started jumpin' around and screaming, and hitting the other side of his head to try to knock it out, to no avail!!! They took the poor guy away in an ambulance, because they couldn't get it out with the tools they had there!

Ever since then, I am paranoid about bugs flying around my head!!!

:scared:

4. My chickens love 'em.
you oughta see 'em chasing the things all over.

Also, when I was little we used to tie strings to 'em and fly them around.
