Voted as well this afternoon, went at 1:30pm with a co-worker and we had to wait about 10-15 minutes in line to get our voter registration checked to issue the paper we took to the actual machines. There were probably over 50 people in the room waiting to vote, they had about 5-6 lanes open and 10 or so actual machines, that stayed full the whole time I was there.
Can we say IMPRESSIVE, especially 1 week after early voting started!
One woman walked in wearing a "W" hat (it's just soooo damn fashionable, isn't it), and a "W, the president" button. She made it all the way up to the election officials who were checking registrations before someone told her to take off her button, but not the hat. She seemed miffed, but she knew what she was doing.
God I hope we are showing up in record numbers right now. It felt SO good to see that little red light behind the Kerry/Edwards name and then hit that green VOTE button!!!!
Take that W! The people are speaking!
