Dear President Clinton:
Thank you so much for the message that you left on my answering machine, and it was nice to hear your voice amid the clutter on the machine, by the way. I understand your stressing how important it is for me to get to the polls to vote and to take another person with me. Well, sir, since early voting began I've lost count of the number of people that I've taken to the polls to vote. There are others, sir, who are working from my county headquarters to drive people to the polls to vote.

We have a full sheet of people requesting a ride to the polls to vote and the log doesn't end until after 7 tomorrow night.

I appreciate the message and I'm trying to do my part.

1. That's pretty cool
What county are you in? I'm guessing he just did the Nashville area?

3. How much support does Corker really have in Chatta?
I grew up there & still have family there. When I was there in Sept. saw more Ford signs than Corker, but that was early on. What's the word on the ground now?

4. There is more to Hamilton Co. than just Chattanooga. It's difficult for me
to gauge the support for Corker per se as opposed to 'vote repug no matter what'. Corker made quite a few enemies in Chatt. and the firefighters and the police unions are actively working against him. A woman walked into our headquarters early last week and stated that she'd never been a dem before, but she had worked in city hall when Corker was mayor and she was willing to do anything to help defeat him in this senate race, and she quickly began working the phones.

Our goal is to get 48% of the vote in Hamilton Co. for Ford.

5. He did it in our ocunty too. I listened to the whole thing just because
it was good to hear his voice. And on my personal phone line!

6. Heh, heh, I listened to it 3 times and didn't erase it. One by one my
kids came walking into the room with their mouths dropped open resembling zombie children. I enjoy it when Ned McWherter makes phone messages. I love to hear his voice; it's like hearing from an old friend.
