Kurita impressive.....
She came to little ole Gainesboro/Jackson Co. to a Democratic bean supper we had on Friday night. For such a little woman, she really packs a punch. Now I'm torn between the more electable candidate (Ford) and one who speaks her mind and stands by it (Kurita).

I'm thinking of taking my Ford bumper sticker off the car.....

1. I'm torn too
I do like Kurita and have but I heard her on "The Round Table" (a local real fair and balanced station in Nashville) and she was asked about the Downing Street minutes and pretty much just ignored it and said that an investigation would "make the troops look bad" and Ford signed Conyers petition and was one of the first fifty people. On all the other issues we all (me, Ford and Kurita) pretty much agree. Did she say anything about Iraq? In the long run I'll be happy with either of them. I'm still not a HUGE Ford fan (like I am with Kerry, Dean etc) but I'm willing to give him a chance.

3. I believe her district includes Fort Campbell and she is very supportive o
the needs of our military personnel. She´s very in touch with what´s happening with them and tries to do everything she can for them. I say go for the person who´s authentic. A person who´s not authentic will change with the political wind.

Remember, Ford voted for the war and though he´s now making noises about getting out, he waited until it might be politically advantageous to do so. He´s very bright and well-spoken, but just a little too focused on personal, political advantage. Perhaps a little more maturity would help him.

5. Regarding Iraq....
She very loudly stated that we went to war for oil and that it was wrong.
