A Possible Sign of Bush's Toastedness
I just received in email Lamar Alexander's monthly newsletter (I started corresponding with him when the Organic Foods Act was being castrated - so sue me).

He uses 12 or 13 paragraphs to talk about what a great leader Reagan was (coughs) and doesn't ONCE use the opportunity to say how Bush is following in his footsteps or *anything* even remotely suggestive. Doesn't even mention Bush in the euology at all.

But he does mention * much later in the letter, where he talks about his legislative agenda, and mentions he's signing on with the other pols who want stem cell research allowed.

Looks like Lamar is distancing himself.

1. Swim away from the ship...
to avoid being dragged down by the suction when it founders.
All the same allot can happen between now and November.
If the Republicans don't manage to steal it again, Bush might just rigidly adhere to his failing policies and continue to run against himself.

I'd say he is in trouble... but it ain't over yet.

2. LA never liked Bush, either of them.
Decent fellow, the times I've seen him. For a Republican, I mean.

5. And Once Again
3 weeks to go before the election, and not one Bush mention in Lamar's Oct. 15 newsletter. Tennessee may well go to the Idiot, but I still find this fascinating.

7. They are distancing.....
Anybody with sense in the Republican party is already starting to distance themselves from the Boy King. History will show him for what he truly is. Those still sticking around who are closely tied will find all their political capital spent and their life in public service cut extremely short.
