SD could play a big role in the Alito fight.
According to a DUer who talked with Kerry's staff, we NEED TIM JOHNSON.

We need him to vote no on Alito.

And, we need him to support a filibuster.

Has voted against cloture in December on a major issue (that's good).

1. He's not up until 2008
I don't know what his problem is. Survey USA showed that he has very high approval ratings. It's not like any conservative backlash against him is going to carry into 2008. And besides, white conservatives won't vote for him anyway.
