Judge Allows Public Release Of Evidence In Payne Stewart Crash Trial
http://www.keloland.com/News/NewsDetail4514.cfm?ID=22,39679

A newspaper has convinced a Florida judge to open up some records related to the plane crash that killed pro golfer Payne Stewart and five others in South Dakota.
-----
When this plane went off course, the military scrambled jets within what, 15 minutes? But on 9.11 planes were flying around unchallenged for what, a couple of hours?

Anyway, this story could get interesting. However, the KELOLAND story makes no sense in this regard: what trial could last until mid-june???

2. KELOLAND is right -- this trial will be a long one.
A complicated civil trial can easily last many months. And this one will be complicated because of the people involved (a wrongful death case where the decedent was somebody like Stewart will involve HUGE damages) and the way the accident happened... loss of pressurization for reasons that are still not quite clear because the airplane was almost completely destroyed. There will be dozens of expert witnesses. I'd be surprised if that trial lasted less than three months.

3. Oops I get it now
"The trial" is the one allowing the release of evidence to the public.

Like that old lady on the SNL skit (Gilda) "Never mind." I didn't read the headline very carefully.
