Where 2 or more Democrats gather, there is not only hope, but
also ELECTIONS! True!

Why assume that any county will elect Republicans forever?

UDO is an idea that can change that!

Read my blog, e-mail me, let's make history!

My newblog address is:

Feel free to visit, add some comments and ideas.

Don't take the "No Way" of current Democratic leadership.

Be part of the "Way!" It's cool!

1. Harding County (and other South Dakota) Republicans
I agree that there may be hope. Actually, personally I find most South Dakota Republicans decent people. The problem as I see it is where they are putting their trust, and who they believe. I do believe that IF they could be shown the truth in a nonthreatening and persuasive way that they would be so angry at the mainstream Republican Party that they would vote Democratic in droves.

One other thing you should keep in mind about Harding County, is that it's a very sparsely populated county. There is, I think, about one person per square mile in the county.

2. Harding County and health care
I think 1/10th of the total land area in Harding County is leased out as school lands to the ranchers---1.7 million acres leased out of 17 million acres total. Pretty incredible--Republican socialism at its best!

A Republican may be a Republican until they or someone they love has a life threatening medical condition and NO health insurance and too many assets to get Medicaid.

Lack of universal health care can be life threatening to many people.

Too many people in SD have to put out jars at convenience stores to get money to pay for their medical treatment.

Let's change that!

4. Cool Idea
Many Republicans are decent people.

We have a one party State basically.

State Democratic Party runs 70 people or so for 105 Legislative posts.
30 or so Republicans run unopposed every 2 years.

Since 1979, South Dakota has been a laboratory for Republican Governors and Legislators.

Look at the results---more prisons, low wages, relations with Native Americans need to be improved.

How can we turn this state into a Democratic or UltraDemocratic laboratory?

If we can do it in Harding County or in Rapid City, we can do this across the whole state!

Am I talking about outspending the R's in elections?

Read my blog, and you'll see how EASY it will be to do this!

9. Let's start in Harding County!
Look, less than 200 Democrats in the whole county!

So if we can do something there, then Sioux Falls and
Rapid City would be EASY!

So how can we show thet Democrats (or independent minded Progressives can make a difference?

Read on....

3. Free Harding County!
Look -- do you want to have Harding County Democrats see
Republicans elected there forever?

Only 15% of the voters in Harding Cty are Democratic!

If you go by the ole majority rules syndrome, then
the only Democrats that ever get elected there (in public elections) are for the Democrats there to be Dixiecrats (dems in name only, acting like
elephants).

Here's the answer---

elections 6 times a year!

Here's how it works--

(click link below--my blog explains it)

(( Hey why shouldn't we do cool things through blogs--blogs will do cool things for humanity FASTER and more AUDACIously than the traditional every 2 years election system ))

5. If No one on this board is interested in Harding County, then thats why
the Republican Party wins there all the time!

Don't be a dull liberal or Party hack!

If the 2004 election was decided by invective, Kerry would have won in a landslide!

Build something cool!

Invent!

6. Invent! Harding County the new center of South Dakota!

One or two or 3 rebel Democrats have an idea...

They show up in Harding County....

It's not November...

Elections are held!

They start designing a New Mansion...

They raise the money...

It is built...

They hold elections every 2 months...

They start schools and colleges and internet schools...

Their ideas grow...

They go further...

Lemmon...Buffalo...Vermillion...Spearfish...Aberdeen...

In their Charter, it was freely given that anything was possible..

They believed that...

They created....

7. How it works...
I will send you all a postcard when I get up to Harding County--

"Democratic Party in South Dakota? Ha ha ha! Give me the next joke!" attributed to Johnny Carson, Groucho Marx or David Letterman?

Invent! Invent!

If the Donkey AND the Elephant are DULL and UNINSPIRING,
Invent! Invent!

8. Move the capitol to Harding Countyt?

This can be done!

The nonprofit group for progressives--SD UDO

could simply say in its Charter-Articles of Association:

We hereby situate the head office (or capitol) of
South Dakota UDO in ________ in Harding County, South Dakota.

Whoever forms SD UDO would simply sign the Articles,
and it would be done!

A few penstrokes!

A few signatures! (Two or three at the minimum)

Are you ready?
