pros and cons of SLOT money
tommorrow night my partner and I will be attending a local meeting about the SLOT MONEY

our school board is considering NOT taking it

couple of things I learned about the SLOT MONEY:

-- a 0.1% local tax must be initiated to qualify for slot money

-- most of what the school districts now do as part of their intitiatives will have to be VOTED on by the ELECTORATE -- this is the political aspect as it decreases their power

I still have a pile of info to go through before the meeting -- but any insight/thoughts on the WHOLE issue are welcomed. We want to be prepared for any side-stepping, ducking, dodging and spin
