Bush to visit North Side center on Monday-Pittsburgh Anti-Gang Effort
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05062/465752.stm

President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush will visit a family support center on Pittsburgh's North Side on Monday as part of Mrs. Bush's leadership of a program to steer "at-risk" youths away from gangs.

The Bushes are expected to spend several hours in Pittsburgh, including time at the Providence Family Support Center on Brighton Road in the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood. There they will tour preschool classrooms and meet participants in an after-school program and a high school equivalency degree study group.

"It's thrilling, but not knowing the details is a little anxiety producing," said Sister Maria Fest, a member of the Sisters of Divine Providence and executive director of Providence Connections Inc., which operates the center.

In collaboration with other local agencies, the family support center offers free, on-site services such as group counseling, job training and literacy and parenting workshops.
