Lynn Swann forms campaign committee for governor
http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05055/462324.stm

Former Steelers star Lynn Swann has filed papers forming a campaign committee for governor, his first official step toward a possible campaign for the 2006 election.

Swann's filing allows him to begin raising money for a campaign. He filed the papers yesterday.

Swann, who has worked as a broadcaster since his retirement as a wide receiver, promised to begin "a conversation with the people of Pennsylvania."

"I will spend time introducing myself to communities across the commonwealth," he said in a statement. "As I consider my personal decision regarding the upcoming gubernatorial race, we will also explore the potential political and financial support for my candidacy."

4. In the big cities of Philly and Pittsburgh I think he is safe but
the GOP controlled Senate and House have been f*cking with him from the beginning so this election in 2006 is going to be ugly...plus we have Santorectum running then too......

5. Swann stumped hard for W and PA went for Kerry...
All the Dems have to do is run commercials over and over again showing Lynn Swann hugging W on the 2004 campaign trail...that'll do it. I think Rendell is safe because the cities that went for Kerry will outnumber the red center...even in Pittsburgh where Swann is remembered as a great Steeler. STICK TO FOOTBALL, Lynn!!!!

Santorum is the real target in 06.

he was great on the campaign in the Fall!

I always liked Franco's football playing better anyway, so nnnaaayyhh Lynn Swann, and your GOP buddies too!

On Edit: OK Lynn, here's my conversation with you -- stick to football and shut up.
