Pennsylvania residents will join statewide leaders Thursday to hold a series of events on Social Security to counter President Bush's visit to the state later in the day.

The Campaign for America's Future is promoting the efforts of more than 20 organizations opposing President Bush's privatization plan, including the AFL-CIO, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, USAction and others. The group unleashed a broad assault on the president's privatization plan in all the cities he has visited in the last 2 weeks with daily news conferences, grassroots mobilization and advertisements.

THURSDAY, FEB. 10, 2005

MONTGOMERYVILLE, PENN.

2 p.m. -- Pennsylvania leaders hold a news conference to make statements and release new data on the local impact of President Bush's plan to private Social Security.
