1. Not supporting Holden
I sent Holden an email immediately after learning he voted against health care reform, informing him I would not support him next election. I hope one of the other democratic candidates is able to overcome the current establishment. For me, health care reform is just too important to look the other way. I may be wrong but I believe the reason so many democrats are in trouble today is because they abandoned the basic agenda the people elected them to accomplish. I don't think America suddenly decided democratic party values are wrong , but rather many of us that do believe the democratic agenda is being sacrificed in order to placate the GOP. A little competition in the primary is good, may help to get some of these things back in proper perspective. Get ready for the naysayers , telling us we have to vote for Holden or else ....it's almost as though they don't even want a primary, just vote for the anointed candidate

There were some Dem House members who voted against the House Health Care Bill, but said they would support the Senate version.

2. Sheila Dow-Ford is the Dem who will probably run against Holden
Edited on Tue Jan-12-10 07:45 AM by old mark
in the primary. I will support her if she runs, and would only vote for Holden if he wins the primary.

The idea of another Reupblican jerk like Argall in the US House makes me sick. As much as I dislike Holden's conservatism, Argall is worse and would be a terrible loss for Democrats in PA and in the US overall.

I want a lot of Dems to email Holden so he understands that he is facing REAL opposition from his own party, and I will immediately and strongly support Dow-Ford if and when she decides to run.

4. Dow-Ford
Thanks for the heads up on Dow-Ford, I need to learn more about her. I confess, these days I am pretty frustrated with it all, maybe it's the weather or maybe I am just getting too old.
