1. It was Portland, Or which also gave Kerry a huge welcome in August
with over 50,000 people turning out. Oregon will be blue again in November.

2. I would like to come to the Medford meeting, BUT
Will it be limited seating? I will be driving from 1:30 away and taking off from work. How does one get tickets before hand?

4. 2500 seating
That's what the seating is at the Armory, from my understanding. I also read it's going to be a town hall. You probably want to call that number and ask about tickets, etc. Hope you can make it!

3. What a week in Medford
This week alone we will have Tommy Franks (today), John Edwards (Wednesday), * (Thursday) and Tony McPeak (Friday). All of this effort for seven electoral votes that are and have always been Kerry's. Dumbya even plans to sleep it off in Jacksonville Thursday night. Lock up your liquor. The meanest drunk in the world is coming to town.

6. Edwards rallies for Kerry in Pioneer Square
It was a pretty damn good event for short notice... and a fine place to watch the debate. They had big screens set up in the square and since there were tons of people booing Bush and repeatedly calling him on his lies, I didn't feel the need to scream at the TV! :smoke:

From the PSU Vanguard
By Elisabeth Meyer:

Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards rallied a filled-to-capacity Pioneer Courthouse Square last night, setting the tone for a public viewing the presidential debate to follow. "Helloooo, Portland!" the exuberant Edwards bellowed, alternating between the thumbs up sign and self-deprecating gestures. When the crowd stopped cheering, he launched into a half-hour speech focusing on George W. Bush's failure to deliver on critical promises to citizens.

"One of the reasons (Kerry) is going to win is that George Bush is out of touch with the American people," Edwards said, pausing to let the crowd boo. "You can't fix a problem unless you recognize there is a problem," he said, contrasting Bush's inability to think of a mistake he'd made in office with a loss of jobs and health insurance in the past four years.

"George Bush says he wants to be judged by his record. We want him to be judged on his record," Edwards said after rattling off statistics of citizens losing health care and jobs and armed forces casualties in Iraq. "You know what would be good for our economy? Outsourcing George Bush."
