Signs, property issues
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 12:11 PM by SuffragetteSal
Does anyone know the rules/laws for posting political signs and billboards? In my community here in Washington County I passed a huge 'Goli' billboard sign (she is trying to beat Wu) on what looks like Avamere property. Now Avamere is a senior home and nursing facility. Of course, the message is that Wu is not good for seniors and Goli is because of the prescription thing. Which is ridiculous because she is a very conservative republican and I doubt has anyone but the rich always in her heart.

Does anyone have any ideas about the right of her to put her sign on the Avamere property? And also...what is the best debate regarding the prescription drug bill. Thanks.

P.S. Washington County..heads up...get your yard signs up...I am not seeing you.

1. Communities have different regulations
You might try contacting your local or state Democratic Party--they should know what is allowed in your area. As far as the Goli sign-- perhaps she got permission from the senior home. You could call the owners and ask and make your pitch for putting up the Wu sign instead. Good luck!

2. Ah, the irony of Wu's Medicaid vote now rears its ugly head
IMHO, Wu voted for the republican bill to immunize himself from criticism as an obstructionist by the elderly population in his district. Now that it's proven itself to be the sack of wet shit the other Democratic reps knew it would be when they voted against it, Goli is using her own party's prescription drug "plan" against Wu.

I predict that it will work. We may very well lose Wu this year.

3. Lots of Oregon Dems voted yes
Voted for it to get Medicare to start paying more disabled health care costs so the state wouldn't have to pick up the Medicaid tab. It's backfiring alright. Wyden voted yes on the damned thing too. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
