1. I have to confess that I have never gone.

And I've always wanted to. So what's the drill? Dress as a character? I love playing dress-up.

2. Unless you have corsets and fishnet stockings at hand...

probably best not to bother about dress-up the first time. (and I haven't been in 10 years, no idea what the current scene is)

In the past you could expect squirt guns, rice, candles, toast, a live, full-dress floor show, and 100 fanatics not only knowing every line, but every snappy comeback to every line. ( and a whole lot of boys in hi-heels). It's undoubtedly slowed down over the years.

3. I was just talking about this with a few of my younger friends the day before yesterday.

They said it would be fun to go, and most of them have only ever seen it on DVD, so the experience will be new for them.
