KPOJ rumor
Heard a rumor from a friend in the radio industry that KPOJ is increasing its signal power from 5kW to 25kW day and 5kW to 10kW night in a couple weeks

1. Kick ass! That'll get AAR's ratings even higher in Portland.
And it'll get some better fucking sponsors than Jim Francesconi's disgusting lying smear machine:

Meanwhile, Eat Wynn's Hot Dogs - stand at 4th & Morrison in Downtown Portland. KPOJ Air America Advertisers and all around great people! They will even deliver to your place of business.

2. Have any more detailed hourly ratings come out for KPOJ?
I gather their recent jump in the 10-3 timeslot is unprecedented.

860am could have been there too, if they'd kept Sheila Hamilton and added more progressive local talent, but Pamplin screwed up in his haste to jump on the rightwing hate-radio bandwagon.

3. No longer a rumor
They announced it on-air today.

This will roughly double the listening area. Eugene to Tacoma, roughly.

4. What great news!
What a great radio station. No Swag - I haven't tried the hot dogs yet but will the next time I am in Portland!

5. great news
My signal in Corvallis fades in and out especially at night. Like to work in basement but reception sucks there. Never could figure out why Ed Schultz hates Randi Rhodes, though. Having progressive radio, even with all the inane public service announcements, in this area is just great. For once I can listen to talk radio and not reach for the Pepto.
