Oregon Brewer's Festival 2007
OK ..... This is it ....

This is the Big One .....

I'm checkin the bus schedule ....

I'm buying a mug and tokens ....

What I don't use today; I'll save and use tomorrow ....

So .... what's it gonna be ? ..... Slacking at home, eating stale potato chips and watching staler TV while drinking warm PBR ? ..... Or will it be the finest collection of microbrews this crazy world has ever seen ????

YOU make the call .....

(I will have my cell with me .....)

(Hey: Check out my new sig image .... FAUX knows the score now ..... )

2. Just got back!
My recommendations:

Bourbon Barrel Abbey Dubbel (Flying Fish Brewing Co.): Woot, what a kick! You can seriously taste the bourbon in this one!

Skinny Dip (New Belgium): Nice summer seasonal

Black Dog Ale (Spanish Peaks Brewery): Dark amber, near perfect blend of malt & hops

Red Thistle Quercus (Golden Valley Brewery): Very interesting brew; aged in pinot barrels, and you could really taste the wine

My mom preferred the lighter beers, in particular the Deschutes 19th Anniversary Golden Ale and the Farmer's Daughter from Viva's own Max's Fanno Creek!

3. Another great Brewfest! For hops
the Green Flash Brewing Northwest IPA. It had that fresh, strong grapefruity aroma, as if hop buds were floating around in it!

Bourbon Barrel too--it screamed 'buzz beer'.
