Portland.....HERE I COME!

That's right. In a few weeks, I am actually coming down for a few days of fun and debauchery. Need to get away from the staid, "normal" town of Spokane. I am going to visit Powell's Books, hopefully get a ticket to the Rose City Rollers for some roller derby action, take in the Saturday Market, go to some bars, watch some bands play, maybe go to a strip club or two (NAUGHTY ME!). I am going to let loose! After all of the studying I have been doing I deserve it! I am also looking forward to riding the Max and maybe (if the weather permits.) take the Aerial Tram.

All of these are the reasons I want to eventually cross "The Big Creek" and move to Portland once school is over!

Anybody know of any good, afforable Thai places around town?

1. There is one on NE Broadway

not terribly far from Lloyd Center. It's called Eagle Thai... 8223 NE Broadway - sits in an old white house. Reasonably priced.

4. Ditto. I'm also looking for good Thai here too.

So far the one's I've been to are Vietnamese owned, and while I think Vietnamese food is OK, it is nothing like good northern Thai.

3. You're in Spokane?

I'm in Calgary. We'll be blowing through Spokane early in July on our way to Portland and the coast. I'll give you a wave!

Pretty awesome is Portland town IMHO. There's no place like Powell's, that's for sure!

A good friend of mine moved to Spokane awhile back, still getting acclimated to that fair city. Seems to like it pretty well so far.

My SO "imported" me from WA (Seattle) to Oregon a long time ago. We've lived all over this fair state and I love it a lot. We "tied the knot" in Coeur d'Alene, a place that will always be dear to my heart.
