Bush And Kerry To Visit Rose City Next Week

The top two presidential candidates, John Kerry and President Bush, will both be in Portland on the same day next week attending separate functions.

On Thursday, Sen. John Kerry's camp announced that he will visit both Medford and Portland next Friday as he finishes his coast-to-coast tour across the United States.

Now the president's campaign media contact, Tucker Bounds, has confirmed with KATU that President Bush will be in town on the same day for a Business Summit round table.

As for John Kerry, he and Edwards began their two week 'Believe in America' tour last week, following the Democratic National Convention in Boston. ..

I was just sitting here trying to figure out why W is trailing Kerry and has every event in the same town as Kerry is going to be at. That's probably why, he's afraid of protestors. Poor Georgie can't handle protestors while Kerry welcomes them, talks to them and ends up having a good rapport with them.
