Fanno Creek in Tigard is at Flood Stage 1
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 08:56 PM by Viva_La_Revolution
My non-professional opinion.

Just took a walk with the boys, creek is topping the bike path in a few places. We took pics, I'll get them uploaded shortly.

Be safe out there!

edit: pics

This creek is usually less than 6 ft wide, about 2 ft deep

5 more inches, and it will top this bridge (usually it's 4 ft. below the bridge)

Bike path in that direction is now a lake

The 'tiny' pond next to my building is not so tiny today

1. 10:30pm update
the bridge in the third picture is now flooded.

Everything from the creek to the pond is one big lake. Bike path is all underwater.

More pictures in the morning.

2 days ago I was loving the rain... now I'm wondering when it's gonna freaking stop!

2. Remnants of a typhoon!
The wet remains of a typhoon hit Oregon on Sunday, dumping as much as 10 inches of rain in the Coast Range and the Cascades, prompting a flood watch for today and Tuesday.

"This is a very wet system, " said David Willson of the National Weather Service. No flooding was reported Sunday night, but rivers are rising and could reach flood stage tonight or Tuesday, Willson said.

The ocean is supposed to be pretty wild, I'm going to go out tomorrow at some point. If I get some good pics, I'll post them. I haven't heard anything local about flooding yet.
