11. experience counts
As another ex-Goldenstater, I remember feeling the "Spring Break Quake" here in '93 & listenening to the radio for news on it. Initial reports said it was 6 point something & I said, "Nah, it's more like 5.5. Turned out to be 5.6...

2. I wasn't sure . . .
Then it occurred to me to check DU rather than waiting for the 10 o'clock news.

Just one quick shake. Startled the heck out of me and woke the dog.

3. I felt it too
Mr Zola has been arguing with me saying it was a big gust of wind.

7. At least it was a small one
Hopefully, it is just an isolated quake and not a precursor to more.

I've lived in California and Oregon for most of my life, but the first earthquake that I ever felt was a magnitude 4.2 quake in OKLAHOMA! I remember thinking, "If I didn't know better, I'd say that was an earthquake." Then I saw the news reports and realized that I was right. It just struck me as funny that I'd live on the west coast for so long and not feel any earthquakes, but I felt one in Oklahoma, of all places.

Elad, good luck with your foundation repair! I hope it's not too costly to fix.

9. I too am grateful that it was not a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake.
That would probably knock out my internets.

8. I felt it, too.
I asked my husband if he'd felt it, and he said he thought it had been the kids getting out of bed. Nope, I said, I know these things (my California background) ... A quick check on USGS confirmed it.

10. Didn't feel it, BUT
I was working in a basement location which began to leak in several more places...:wow: (I was afraid to stop by this morning to see if the place had become a small subterranean lake).
