Wordstock Book Festival in Portland April 21-23
Join us for Portland’s Annual Festival of the Book, taking place over three days April 21-23, 2006.

This year's festival will include featured readings by bestselling authors, poets and NW writing legends, panels on every conceivable subject, workshops for teachers of writing, dinners with your favorite authors, a two day book fair with hundreds of exhibitors, two days of children's readings and activities, food, music, cooking demonstrations and more!


Book Fair
Over 200 national and regional authors from every genre will read on 10 stages. Over 100 exhibitors will be on hand with the latest books. It's Portland second annual world-class book fair!

The school librarian and I are trying to organize a field trip for kids who are interested. Why should adults have all the literary fun?

2. Yes, it's wonderful.
They need to find a better venue, but it's still great. It's too bad they never partnered up with the old, also wonderful, Northwest Bookfest in Seattle. The two could have brought something truly stupendous to the northwest.

I'll be there again. It's the best thing going in this part of the country.

I missed my chance last year to meet Ivan Doig and was looking forward to catching him this year.

My favorite author, Ursula LeGuin, is there every year, since she's a local.

5. Ivan will be back.
He used to hit the Northwest Bookfest about every other year, so look for him in 2007. He do rock, by the way!
