Voisin Announces for Second District Seat
Carol Voisin, is announcing her candidacy for the 2nd Congressional
District. The news conference is 11AM, Friday, February 17 at the new
Jackson County Democratic Headquarters at 40 South Central, Medford,
Oregon.

Carol believes that Oregonians in the 2nd Congressional District deserve a
Representative in Washington DC who is committed to making their local
interests her top priority. Oregonians want a Representative who is
ethical, who supports equal opportunity, who can fight for funding for
education and who will act as a steward for our Oregon natural resources.

Oregonians are looking for a change in the direction our country and state
are taking; Carol Voisin can make that change happen.

Sincerely,

Regina Ayars
Campaign Manager
Carol Voisin for Congress
2nd Congressional District

1. I wish I could vote for her! Here's an article from KATU2
Democrat issues challenge to Greg Walden

ASHLAND, Ore. - A Southern Oregon University lecturer says she will challenge Greg Walden for his congressional seat from Oregon's second district.
Democrat Carol Voisin says she is making her first national political bid because, she feels Walden votes a straight George Bush line and that the concerns of Oregonians are not being met.

She says her main focus will be making education, health care and affordable housing more pressing national issues.

She has been a housing commission member since 2004 and is active with the Jackson County Democratic Central Committee.
Walden won re-election in his largely conservative district in 2004, getting more than 71 percent of the vote.

that's all there is - http://www.katu.com/news/story.asp?ID=83487

2. The 2nd has a rep for electing some real boobs & jailbirds...
Carol looks very good and would be an asset(instead of the ass we have now)for the 2nd.

Unfortunately, the 2nd is full of blue dots amidst a sea of red.

3. As one of those blue dots,
I can say that I've been surprised at how many of my rural republican neighbors and colleagues are unhappy with the Bush administration. I don't know if that disenchantment has any coattails to speak of; time will tell.

4. One thing we can do is send contributions her way...
We have to gett Greg Walden out of Congress, and even if she isn't in our district, we can help her with dollars toward her campaign. It will be a tough fight and she'll need all the capital she can get.
